MORE wig work.

I be putting in work work work work work work work

Was that enough works? I dunno. Anyway, WIG TALK

I WANT TO CRY THERE IS SO MUCH ALPACA HAIR ALL OVER ALL MY THINGS. FLOATING IN THE AIR. Like magical tiny alpaca air mermaids. Airmaids?

OK, OK, I lost my train of thought there for a minute. Here it comes though, right now, pulling into the station, choo chooooo.....

So I've been putting in a lot of work with my alpaca hair. Mostly that work involves cleaning and processing it, which is the worst part of wigmaking, but shiiiiiiiiiiit, I can't afford pre-processed hair! Who am I, the Medici family? The original, ORIGINAL OG? The Daddy of the Mac Daddy?

Nay, sadly, I am not. Obivously. None of those people would say the word 'nay'.

At least I've finished the dyeing (for now). I'm planning on combing out and cleaning enough hair for three wigs (hence why this is taking so long) and I shouldn't need too much of the colored hair, so fingers crossed I'm done with that obnoxiousness.

Actually, if I could go back and re-do some things, I would have left some colors in longer. The yellow is pretty pale and the orange is a bit streaky. The purple isn't my favorite either, but I'm working with only three colors so it's the best I could do with turquoise and crimson.

I'm pretty much done with the blonde hair (I definitely don't have enough hair for two more wigs, go figure) so now I'm moving on to cleaning and processing the black hair. At first I thought this would be easier because gosh darnit, that black hair looked CLEAN.

Then I realized that dirt is just harder to see in black hair and that I'm kind of stupid. Sigh.

There's also a TON of VM to clean from the black hair - more than I normally see. That must have been one wild alpaca. Hope he had a blast doin'...whatever the heck he was doin'.

Progress pics for absolutely no reason;

Yay! Lookit dem colors. I hope they look decent once they're all cut and glued together and I hope I get there SOON. After this I'm trying to at least make another wig for Chelsea (and maybe one or Citrus or Yana) and I am serious when I say after that I need a break from alpaca hair for at least three weeks.

No joke, I have to 'craft space' or 'craft room' - that is my dining table and there are roving bands of alpaca hair balls invading my space everywhere I look. I swear they're breeding.

THANKS FOR READING, and wish me luck! DX
